“Dr. Mackie’s philosophy of care is based on the “Cura Personalis” philosophy, or “care for the entire person” that was the hallmark of her training at Georgetown. She stresses the importance of patients being true partners with her in their health decisions and management. Further, from her training first as a family doctor, she values personal touch and strives to get to know her patients while adhering to the biopsychosocial model of health.”
